T- / T- VTR series exhaust gas turbocharger design features:

T- VTR series turbocharger cover ring (also called turbine diffuser and gas outlet guide) is one part of T- / T- VTR series exhaust gas turbocharger with the features as below:

The T- VTR series turbocharger is developed to match with two-stroke low-speed and four-stroke medium-speed heavy duty diesel engine and gas engine.
The engine power output range from 700 kW to 18,500 kW per each T-VTR turbocharger.
The T- VTR series turbocharges is consisted of single-stage axial turbines and radial compressors.
Easy maintained external bearings.
The T- VTR 4 series is capable of high pressure-charging, the pressure ratio from 3.7 even to 4.2.
Uncooled gas casings are available which can be an alternative to water-cooled gas casing.
The rotor runs in spring-mounted roling-contact bearings, and each bearing has its own lubrication system and oil cooling system.
The rotor shaft can be removed in four easy steps without disconnect any air, gas or water pipes.
The T- VTR series is modular type of design, which ensures the turbine baldes, nozzle rings, comperssor wheels and diffusers with various casing configurations to be optimum matched with all engine types.
The T- VTR series turbochargers are widely used in marine propulsion engines, especially at part load, and in stationary power plants, on units burning heavy oil and in continuous operation.

Marine turbocharger / Exhaust gas turbochargers operate at high speeds, high exhaust gas temperatures, high air and exhaust gas flow rates, and high flow rates. Generally, the pressure of the exhaust gas is 0.25-0.45 MPa, and the exhaust gas temperature is 500-600 °C. The speed varies with the size of the Marine turbocharger / supercharger. The maximum speed of the large-sized supercharger is 10000 r/min, and the maximum speed of the small-sized supercharger can reach 40,000~50000r/min. Therefore, the marine turbocharger/exhaust gas turbocharger is a precision machine.

When the diesel-exhaust turbocharger combination is in operation, the marine turbocharger/exhaust gas turbocharger is prone to failures such as turbine casing corrosion, bearing damage, blade damage, gas seal damage, and supercharger vibration. The daily good maintenance agement can reduce these failures.
